Burgers were OK. I've had better burgers at Five Guys/Red Robin. The Smashfries that came with the burger were too salty. WTF!?! I hate it when fries come out all salty. It completely destroys the burger eating experience! I did, however, get a new batch of fries made but I was already upset at the original batch. What upset me even more was the guy who did my original batch of fries blurted out loud, "What? The fries were salty?" when he got the message that the fries were sent back for being too salty... When I heard that, I was livid. Crappy attitude is unacceptable.

I'm a bit bummed. This place is steadily slipping into a place where management isn't doing its job or doesn't care anymore. I find everyone is really nice and the food is still good. However I am totally bothered by tables that aren't cleared, especially when it's slow. I watched the gal delivering food walk by a table with garbage on it no less than five (5) times. As I am now spooling up, what also pisses me off is when tables aren't wiped off after they are cleared. This isn't a f**king picnic canopy and I shouldn't ask for a towel to wipe down my own table! I'll also mention the Dr. Pepper fountain, which was out when we arrived, took 30 mins to fill after my kid told the gal up front about it. I repeat, it was slow. Yes, this is self centered, but pop (Dr Pepper) is a treat for my kid. Btw, that trash was still on the table as we walked out about 45 mins later. Ok, deep breath. Ridiculous to get upset about a mostly fast food place that I guarantee will lose or is losing market share in Apple Valley. Next time, Five Guys!

We were really excited to try Smashburger, it's exciting having all these new places opening up around the Apple Valley area!!! All in all it was a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere and decor is really nice, but I love the color red so I may be a little bias. Ordering was a breeze, I am not usually someone who likes the "fast food" style ordering at the counter, but this wasn't to bad. When you walk in the front door, you grab a menu and they make it easy but not having a million and one things to choose from. I had the avocado club burger and hubby had the bbq burger with the onion tangles on it. Hubby opted for the regular french fries while I chose to live it up and try the smash fries. We filled up our drinks at the soda fountain and sat down..within minutes we had our burgers and fries in front of us and ready to go..way fast! Food was great, I totally recommend the smash fries for a change! They were really good, just enough rosemary for the perfect touch. he only complaint I have is that the food wasn't really hot, but with the weather the way it is, and the people in and out of the building I am sure that was a big part of it. It would totally not deter me from coming back. I would love to try one of their shakes..mmmmmmmm haagen daz ice cream!

I went to this place with my brother a couple of days ago for the first time. The burger I got was pretty good although it had much too much grease on it . My brother said that the milkshakes were pretty great! I just think it would have been a knock out of the park if the burgers were less greasy. The people that worked there were also very pleasant and willing to please! It would have gotten 5 stars for me if it wasn't for the grease. I would go back I just probably would not get a burger again.

First impression walking in should have been a clue. Dirty tables and flies were the soup de jour. Order came quick. Mine was missing lettuce but had pickles instead. Burgers were salty and fries extra salty, so salty we didn't finish them. Shake was average. My opinion, don't waste a trip.

Decent burger at sit down prices. Smash fries were nothing to write home about. I oils try the haystack onions next time. It was quick and clean. Staff was courteous.

I think Smash burger is ok. Not amazing. I personally think its a little pricey for what it is. I have also found that everytime I've come to the apple valley location the cashier seems very confused. I also do like that the print on the menu board is so TINY. I can never read it.

Decent menu includes gluten free options. Take out or dine in & they are usually pretty fast unless you order shakes it takes a little longer. This is one place I go to for a fast meal on nights I don't feel like cooking.

I don't care what anyone says, SmashBurger is the shiz. I had my first experience years ago in Denver and have loved it ever since. Now that they're popping up in the metro I'm even more in love. Try the Twin Cities burger with sweet potato fries. I also really love their veggie fries and pretty much all of the chicken sandwiches. There is really something for everyone. Please take note that these burgers are not healthy. These are straight-up naughty burgers that leave a grease/ sauce mixture running down your face if you're not careful. So, please be careful and then spend an extra hour on the treadmill afterward. Those are really all of the tips I have to thoroughly enjoy SmashBurger. And, if I was single, I would also take notice of the fact that there are a lot of good looking men in business suits hanging around over lunch time. I'm not single (lucky for those guys) so I didn't really notice. Just sayin.

I was so excited to have a Smashburger built in Apple Valley. I have only been to the one in Eagan a couple times. My friend who is no longer my friend anymore used to live off Yankee Doodle and we would go there. We aren't friends anymore because she accused me of trying to sabotage her career as a dental hygenist. But that's another story. I came to the Apple Valley location for the first time on Sunday. I went with a friend. We both ordered the Twin Cities Smash, I think that's what it's called? And I told the lady at the register, "No tomatoes, please." I was very surprised to find out that french fries are an additional fee. This is very bothersome. It should come as a side with the burger. I guess they want to nickel and dime everything? Whatever. I placed an order for fries and a fountain drink. $10.57 was my total. I think the highlight of the Twin Cities Smashburger was the grilled onions and cheese and maybe some type of sauce? I can't recall. My friend took two bites of his burger and was disgusted. I was still enjoying my fries. The fries were great. They reminded of shoe string potato stix. After I removed the tomatoes I specifically told them not to include, I took my first bite of the Twin Cities and wanted to spit it out. This burger was a grease fest. So oily, greasy, and slimy. Yikes! I had to remove all the cheese and onions to eat the burger. I probably wouldn't have finished it, but I had a terrible headache and needed to eat something. I didn't want to take it back to the counter. I'll just yelp about it later I told myself. Very downhearted with the burger, I still told myself I would give this location another shot. I now know to never ever order the Twin Cities Smash ever again. I now know to let all my friends and coworkers know not to order that either. I took the survey on the receipt for a free side of fries next time I come in. My friend told me to take his receipt and do his survey for another free side of fries. He told me to rate them bad, lol. I did both surveys and got the same four digit code for both surveys. How lame is that? For those of you who go there and don't feel like taking their survey for free french fries for next time, the code is 9341. And there you have free french fries to go along with your not Twin Cities Smash.

Great burgers! Reminds me of shake shack on the east coast. Tried the twin cities burger and some smash fries. Smash fries are sprinkled with various seasonings and are fresh take on a burger side. Staff was also great.

It was my first time at a smashburger. This particular location is new, clean and spacious. The menu was easy and i went for a classic Smashburger. I also ordered some chickenstrips from the kids menu for my little one. The restaurant was quite busy and there was a wait of 10 minutes. Which was fine. The only downer were the baskets with the condiments. They were greasy and were missing quite a few things. So I had to just rearrange and put one together with all the condiments i needed.

Super bummed! I was expecting so much more, and got nothing even close. The burger itself looked great, nice portions. But, the most important thing is flavor and it was just not there. Got the Baja and even with the toppings the beef itself is plain. They say they use quality Angus beef, but I'll beg to differ. The fries are nothing special, just fries. The staff was nice, but I don't think I will be stopping in again.

Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed. I ordered a regular size BBQ Bacon and Cheddar, while the fiance ordered a Big size Classic. He got the Smashfries while I ordered regular, and we both shared an Oreo Shake. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The fiance's burger looked really nice and juicy, whereas my smaller patty was fairly dry. Perhaps that dryness was amplified by the fact that there was no BBQ on my burger. Ugh. I thought I maybe got BBQ sauce in one bite, but I eventually gave up and grabbed the ketchup and mustard since I really needed some flavor and moisture on the burger. If we go back, I think I'll have to order the Big size in order to get a juicier patty, and perhaps ask for extra, extra, extra BBQ. I will say that I thought the bun was fabulous- very soft with a mild flavor and a decent bread to meat ratio. The fries were alright. I liked that they were crispy, but since they are shoestrings they cool down very quickly. The fiance's Smashfries weren't all that different from my own, save for a hint of rosemary. I'd like to try the sweet potato fries next time. The shake was another underwhelming item. I'm familiar with hand-spun shakes, so I know they're a bit less creamy than something you'd get at DQ. The chunks of Oreo weren't broken up very small and thus were impossible to suck through a straw, so I had to spoon eat most of my shake, which just kind of turned into soggy Oreo soup after a bit. Maybe I should have stuck with a classic Chocolate or Vanilla?

The food here is freshly made and the menu is rather extensive for a burger joint. The smashfries are delicious, a nice change from the same plain fries you can get everywhere else. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

The service is good the workers are nice! But I under stand that it's a new restaurant is new so they would be playing loud music but if the could clean up the mess people make.I almost slipped because my shoes have gunk from the restaurant on them. AND ITS NOT THE ICE ON THE SIDEWALK. The workers are just standing around but some of the workers come to the tables a put a smile on your face. Now for the food... The food is delicious also the pop. I take it back the workers are not slackers they do a great job of cleaning and yelling for food! Good bye McDonalds and Chick-Fil-A Here's a new business!

I love Smashburger, but this place was a bit, for lack of a better word, disappointing. I ordered the original smash, and it tasted different, it had this weird sauce on it and one tiny lettuce leaf. I prefer the one in Woodbury. Not mad.

Now this is a place that I just feel compelled to give a good review to. Excellent service, very friendly, very fast! Good food. Still a burger place, but pretty darn good burgers, shakes, and rosemary fries! Very clean. Almost too clean. Weren't sure what to do with our plates when we were done since the bussing stations were so spotless!
